With only one week until Christmas, I’ll be heading to a few final parties this week. These dark chocolate barks are so easy to make, and they are a nice healthy addition to the dessert or sweets table at any party. I find that dark chocolate always curbs my sweet tooth, it is low in sugar and you can fill up on other foods that you might only eat occasionally. If you do bring these to any party make sure to put in the freezer until you serve!
It’s fun to play around with different combinations to make dark chocolate bark. Read below for some of my festive combos!
Pistachio with dried cranberries
Coconut and hazelnut
Hazelnut with sea salt
Coconut, pistachio, dried cranberries
What you need:
Any combination of nuts/coconut/cranberries that you want to use
1 100 gram bar of dark chocolate (the higher percentage, the less sugar, I used 85%)
** I like to double this recipe and keep in the freezer
What to do:
Melt the chocolate, in the microwave for 2 – 2.5 minutes – stirring throughout
Add your combinations of nuts, coconut or dried cranberries into the bowl with the chocolate
Add sea salt (optional)
Place parchment paper onto a plate or tupperware, add chocolate and place in the freezer to harden (about 1 hour)
Enjoy the last week leading up to Christmas, I’m currently listening to Christmas music, making brunch and wrapping some presents!
