Hey everyone, I hope you’re all enjoying your Tuesday. It was a bank holiday here yesterday in Ireland so today is my Monday, yay. It is sooo gloomy out today and has been for the last couple days. The days are getting shorter and so much colder so it’s time to add in some EXTRA immune boosting foods into my diet.
The easiest immune booster food I use is grapefruit. I add it to water and I find it much easier to actually drink water when it is flavourful, especially in the fall/winter time! Grapefruits are full of so many good things.
So, grapefruits benefits entail:
1. Vitamin C which reduces cold symptoms and is great for your immune system.
2. They have been ranked one of the highest fruits in antioxidant activity.
3. BOOSTS METABOLISM – The enzymes, and the high water content helps burn fat easily. Grapefruits also contain fibre which helps you stay fuller for longer with very low calories.
4. Stress reducer – Even just the smell of grapefruit has benefits!! Grapefruit oils have been known to be very therapeutic for the mind and body.
